DESCRIPTION:Ko rua te paia ko Te Whanga \nHe Kainga to te Ata \nHe Kainga ka Awatea \nHe Kainga ka Ahiahi e \n\nNau mai\, haere mai ki te whakarewatanga o te Muriwai o Te Whanga. \nNei ngā hua nā rātou mā i whārikitia hei manako mā tatou ngā uri whakaheke. \n  \nYou are warmly invited to join us for the official launch and adoption of the Te Muriwai o te Whanga Plan. This is a significant milestone for Mana Ahuriri in taking steps towards revitalising Te Whanganui ā Orotū and Te Muriwai o te Whanga\, and in meeting our obligations outlined in the Ahuriri Hapū Claims Settlement Act 2021. \nThe Te Muriwai o Te Whanga Plan was presented to the whānau at the Mana Ahuriri AGM in December and received unanimous support for its adoption. The next step is for Te Muriwai o Te Whanga Komiti to formally adopt the plan and submit it to the relevant councils and the Department of Conservation. The Plan is a collective document that must be given regard to by decision-makers in regard to resource management policy and consents\, local government policy\, and conservation management plans and policy that are relevant to Te Muriwai o Te Whanga. Resolve to formally approve the plan. \n2. Lodge a copy of the plan to each local authority (Napier City Council\, Hastings District Council\, Hawke’s Bay Regional Council) and the Director General of the Department of Conservation. \nThis hui is our opportunity to celebrate the plan’s adoption and launch\, followed by a kai tahi. As members of Te Komiti o Te Muriwai o te Whanga\, we look forward to your attendance at Waiohiki Marae to celebrate this milestone.
